    About this role

    About the Role

The CEO of doit Holdings will build and own our regulated investment platform in Malaysia, and will serve as the Securities Commission's named Responsible Person for it. doit Holdings is applying to the SC for registration as a Recognized Market Operator running an e-Services Platform, through which users will invest in listed securities and unit trusts offered by licensed partners. The role covers the registration itself, building the operating company behind it, and running the business once it is live.

    What you will be doing

    • Own the registration end to end, from pre-application consultation with the SC through submission, conditional approval and launch.

    • Act as the Responsible Person, the SC's named contact for the platform, and sign the system and operational readiness declaration before the platform may operate.

    • Build the operating company across technology, security, compliance and operations.

    • Own the partner relationships with the licensed intermediaries and fund managers whose products the platform carries, including the written allocation of anti-money laundering monitoring responsibility.

    • Own P&L, customer growth, revenue, unit economics and operating performance.

    • Run the platform so that it operates in an orderly, fair and transparent manner, with fair and transparent fees and an applied rulebook.

    • Keep the board properly informed and support it in discharging its oversight duties.

    What you will need

    • Strong experience building or running a regulated financial services or fintech business, with at least 10 years of professional experience.

    • At least 5 years in financial services, capital markets or regulated financial technology, and at least 3 at senior management level with functional or P&L ownership.

    • At least 3 years of direct exposure to capital market intermediation, distribution or market operation.

    • Prior direct dealings with a financial regulator in a named or accountable capacity.

    • A degree or professional qualification from an institution recognised by the government of Malaysia, and able to meet the SC's fit and proper criteria.

    • Available full-time. The Responsible Person must be appointed on a full-time basis and cannot hold another executive role.

    • Experience of unit trust distribution or online broking in Malaysia, or of launching under a regulator's conditional approval, is useful.

    • Hands-on operating style. Able to read the guidelines, review the onboarding flow and drive the regulatory and commercial work personally.

    Location

This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our local office at least 3 days per week, with the remaining days offering flexibility to work remotely.

Candidates should be based in, or able to work from, the location where the role is advertised.

    Language

English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.

    Interview Process

Our process is designed to move fast:

    1. Introductory conversation

    2. Deep-dive interview on the regulatory and commercial plan

    3. Group leadership / final round

For strong candidates, we aim to complete the process and make an offer within 1 week from the start of the interview process. Candidates who complete assessments quickly will be prioritized.
