Summary

This role will run a creative brain trust in partnership with the Global heads of Print, Personal Systems, 3D Print Marketing and HP.com to lead the creative development and production process for HP. Provide visionary leadership to the creative teams, inspiring and guiding them to deliver high-quality and innovative work.

The Executive Creative Director is responsible for managing and elevating our in-house creative production studios to become a world-class agency that creates/produces best-in-class marketing/advertising assets. Responsible for delivery and implementation of all creative work. Contributes to the overall strategic definition of the Marketing Function and acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction.

Business Context

The Executive Creative Director has oversite of the HP.com/Digital Experience team; HP Studio (our in-house creative production studio); Photography & Packaging; and Agency Management within the Marketing Organization. This role reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer and supports the end-to-end Marketing Organization on executing its mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership - Provide visionary leadership to the creative teams, inspiring and guiding them to deliver high-quality and innovative work.
  • Managing and elevating our in-house creative production studios to become a world-class agency that creates/produces best-in-class marketing/advertising assets
  • Responsible for the management of creative agency partnerships
  • Develop and maintain a strong creative culture that fosters collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set the creative direction for all projects, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
  • This role will set overall initiatives, allocate financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of creative marketing programs
  • Responsible for the development and management of the external creative network
  • Must be capable of building a global network to scale creative content across geographies
  • Serves as advisor to upgrade creative capabilities of marketing team.
  • Serves as advisor to business partners and stakeholders to increase overall creative impact.
  • Must build strong relationships with a highly matrixed group of stakeholders.
  • Consults with business leaders at the executive level to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  • Ensures that the marketing strategies and initiatives within Marketing Function are integrated with corporate and business strategies.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business or other related area
  • Experience
    • 15-20+ years of global experience: including multi-industry, country and global campaigns
    • Proven experience operating with the agencies, free lancers, production companies, independent directors and artists
    • Proven track record of award winning work for global brands.
    • Experience fostering relationships with leaders and subject matter experts to build a collaborative partnership
    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
    • Regional experience with global mindset and working with HQ to drive strategy
    • Budget Planning and process management
