Job Summary:

Living the Accuserve values: Communicating and Connecting, Doing the Right Thing, Compassionately Service, Courageously making an Impact and Staying Curious, the Claims Adjustor-Interior Managed Repair is responsible for managing Direct Repair Network Files, using Property Insurance adjustment knowledge and skills to ensure that clientele receive the highest level of customer service and company objectives are met. A Direct Repair Network Claims Adjuster handles files that are primarily large and complex in nature or have an exposure to Additional Living Expense coverage. A Direct Repair Network Claims Adjuster is one who possesses 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry handling Property claims as a desk and/or field adjuster. This role is NOT a claims adjustor. We are looking for someone with Claims Adjusting experience.

General Responsibilities:

  • Make inbound and outbound calls pertinent to file management.
  • Send and receive emails pertinent to file management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policy holders, clients, and contractors through friendly and prompt handling of files.
  • Interpret and analyze policy holder inquiries regarding process and status of files.
  • Take ownership of any file inquiries or issues related to scheduling, inspections, estimate completion, and completion of contractor work.
  • Communicate clear plan of action to resolve any policy holder, client, or contractor issues using company guidelines.
  • Document file status and ongoing progression within the direct repair network file handling systems using clear and effective language.
  • Review and upload any documentation received pertinent to specific policy holder files
  • Investigate and Resolve scope and costs for disputed estimates and escalated files.
  • Able to manage a work queue of claims files
  • Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience or 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry handling Property claims as a desk and/or field adjuster, Prior claims adjusting experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor of Arts degree
  • Possesses an Active Insurance Adjuster’s or equivalent State Insurance Adjuster’s License is required, Licensure in the state of Texas and/or Florida or New York/California desired.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of the importance of meeting property claim handling requirements for our clients and their policy holders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work within computer applications, such Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) and
  • Computer savy
  • Extensive knowledge of Xactimate and Xactanalysis.
  • Able to use discretion and judgement to resolve issues.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Exhibits professional image and behavior.
  • Able to effectively communicate with policy holders, contractors, and claim professionals.
  • Possess excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Works well within a team.
  • Reliably meets work commitments and deadlines.
  • Able to work remotely if necessary.
  • Reliable broadband internet and ability to work remotely at home with a minimum speed of 10 meg download, 1 meg upload and ability to connect via ethernet cord directly into router required.
