Summary of Role:

This is a support role assisting the Commercial Lines, Property and Casualty (P&C) team of Client Services Managers and Account Executives to service client accounts and help to maintain client relationships. The position requires a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. You will assist the team by providing administrative functions. You may also support the team on new business opportunities. While in this role, the Coordinator is beginning to have client contact, via more senior team members. You may join meetings and client calls but will be responsible for listening, taking notes and providing follow-up to the team. You will begin to learn the functions of the Account Manager, most specifically begin to get exposure to the RFP process and continue to expand upon industry knowledge through special projects as directed by senior team members.

Desired experience will require one to several years of P&C experience with Commercial coverages.

This is a full-time position working from our Voorhees, NJ office. We are flexible for a hybrid schedule as long as working at least 2 days a week in that office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Client Services Manager to develop relationships, both internally and externally, to deliver services effectively and efficiently to clients
  • Responsible for updating open items schedule for all new business and other action items, send reminders and follow-ups internally and externally
  • Maintain open and action items listing for new business and other action items; send follow-up and reminders internally and externally, as needed
  • Prepare a status sheet for renewals, track quotes, update exposure information
  • Assist with meeting take away notes and action plans
  • May need to prepare ID cards, certificates and schedules of insurance
  • Accurately and completely perform invoicing in EPIC
  • Responsible for Broker of Record Letters, Schedule of Values, ISO reports, and Loss Run Authorization Letters
  • Run Marshall & Swift valuation reports as directed by senior team members
  • May be asked to assist in completing client requests as needed
  • Verifies the accuracy and compliance of requested documentation (policies and endorsements)
  • Assist in various projects, tasks or trainings as assigned by the manager
  • Assist with completing client requests as needed
  • Sending out Contract Reviews
  • Requesting and sending applications
  • Must maintain phone coverage for teammates in his/her absence
  • Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • P&C Commercial Lines experience or having an Insurance Risk degree or related training is required
  • Understanding of policies, endorsements, loss-runs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with fluency in Word and Excel
  • Team player, adaptive to mentoring and continual learning
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized; strong attention to detail
  • May be required to work overtime as necessary

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent is required; college is preferred
  • Commercial Insurance experience required
  • Experience working in EPIC Agency Management System or similar or CRMs is strongly preferred
  • A P&C license is not required but will be a value-add along with experience
