GDIT is seeking a Data Center Financial Advisor who will partner with our customer in understanding their Data Center costs, collaborating on a charge back model, looking for both tactical and strategic areas for cost improvement/optimization, and supporting an Analyst Team in communications to stakeholders. The Data Center Financial Advisor will be the Program Team expert on the financial costs of the data center and critical in interacting with the various service providers who make up the Data Center cost profile.

This individual will also provide financial operations training, drive user experience improvements.

In this role you may also support the CMS Hosting Team in delivering highly communicative and financial reports that provide customers with their usage, monthly billing and funding utilization. Candidates must be able to communicate well with their customers throughout their Hosting journey.

Successful candidates are eager to take the initiative on a very large Hosting resell program, both Cloud & On-Prem, where optimization and attention to detail is crucial.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on understanding current and future data center costs
  • Collaborate with CMS on developing, implementing, and maintaining both show back model and charge back models
  • Develop and manage a series of SLA/KPIs/OKRs that will provide transparent metrics into the cost management of the on-prem data center
  • Assisting coworkers with collecting and reviewing financial data from various Hosting sources.
  • Creates, maintains, updates financial deliverables via JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft excel or other financial dashboards.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend data center techniques. Example: Low Utilization of Resources or Storage Recommendations
  • Extensive & timely customer service responses.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in Data Center or Financial Operations, flexible for the right person
  • Prior gov't experience
  • Data Center experience required
  • Financial Analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience required.
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
