Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and managing data in our systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient with data entry software, and capable of maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry: Accurately input data from various sources into the company database or other designated systems.

Data Verification: Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data to ensure accuracy.

Database Management: Maintain and update databases regularly to ensure current and correct information.

Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, ensuring proper storage and retrieval.

Reporting: Generate reports as required, summarizing data and highlighting any discrepancies or trends.

Data Confidentiality: Adhere to data confidentiality and security policies to protect sensitive information.

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure data consistency and accuracy across departments.

Quality Control: Perform regular quality checks on data entry activities to identify and rectify errors.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field is a plus.

Experience: Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or similar role.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with data entry software and databases.

Typing Speed: Ability to type quickly and accurately (minimum 60 WPM preferred).

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with an ability to spot errors and discrepancies.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.

Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot data entry issues and suggest process improvements.
