We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Moodle Research team.
You will work with a broad range of data in a number of cutting-edge LLM and ML-based AI projects. Your work will focus on making sure data quality is high, and AI performance is maximised. Your role will involve automating data flows and data cleaning, as well as researching new techniques for managing data and maximising AI accuracy and performance.
Responsibilities:
● Helping to design and scale new AI-based products and services
● Automating data flows between many different systems
● Model training, fine-tuning and RAG design.
● Benchmarking and monitoring running products.
● Staying current on state of the art in these areas
● Working with the team to roll out new AI-based products, both internal and external
Requirements
● 6-8 years of total IT experience with 5+ years in Data Science
● A passion for writing high-quality readable code (Python, R, SQL, etc) and the code should be modular,
● Ability to adapt and use new technologies.
● Experience with the basics of model training, fine-tuning and RAG techniques.
● Heavy focus on data-based decision making and research process
● Excellent communication skills with non-technical team members
● Understanding of Design Thinking
