Position Summary
Radiology Partners is seeking a Demographic Specialist to represent Radiology Partners as a key member in handling front end billing aspects of the revenue cycle.Accurate analysis of claims before they are submitted for payment will provide customer satisfaction throughout the billing process and assure full collections for account resolution.This will provide the company with a firm foundation for growth potential and ensuring sustainability.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate/Map doctors and insurances from outside organizations to flow through the system with the appropriate doctor or insurance within the practice management system.
- Analyze incoming demographics from client interfaces and make necessary corrections.
- Enter manual patient demographic information into practice management system.
- Adjust claims in practice management system that hit system edits as needed for the release of accurate claim information.
- Update/maintain specified accounts with professional courtesy, employee health, and other special billing requests.
- Debrief claims prior to releasing to clearinghouse.
- Correct invalid and rejected claims provided by the clearinghouse.
- Coordinate work, provide support and audit tasks assigned to offshore vendor.
- Maintain regulatory compliance by staying abreast of current trends and regulations in the financial and healthcare industries.
- Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) highly preferred
- 2+ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate computer proficiency is required in this role
- Must be able to write routine correspondence and present more complex ideas effectively to others
- Ability to able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience with Imagine – (Billing software) is a huge plus
- Availity (Clearinghouse) experience highly preferred

The hourly range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00.
