POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform tasks related to radiologists’ interpretation of radiology studies. To facilitate and expedite radiology studies and interpretations making the radiologist more efficient. Communicate with referring physicians and clinic personnel.
This position will be remote after training. Training typically takes 3-4 weeks, during which time the employee is expected to be onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Remote working hours are 10a-7p Monday through Friday with rotating holidays.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Faxing or calling reports to physicians
- Calling for additional information on patients
- Communicate with referring physicians and clinic staff on behalf of the radiologist
- Continually monitor workflow via work lists and clinic schedules
- Transferring radiology studies and data
- QA responsibilities
- Expedite the interpretation of STAT or call report exams
- Teleradiology system checks as necessary
- Hospital patient information systems
- Keep work area functional and organized
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate, Radiology and/or medical experience is preferred
- Interpersonal/social skills
- Handle issues with utmost confidentiality/discretion
- Verbal/ written skills (diction and enunciation)
- Excellent computer skills
- Good attendance/punctuality
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
- A positive, cooperative attitude
- Ability to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions
- Get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes
- Perform work activities which could require instructing, supervising, negotiating, persuading or speaking with others
- Responding appropriately to constructive criticism from a supervisor
