POSITION SUMMARY

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring the seamless integration of software development, deployment, and operational processes. Your expertise in automating infrastructure, optimizing deployment pipelines, and implementing best practices will contribute to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the software development lifecycle and support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to shape the organization's DevOps culture and drive innovation through automation and technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • DevOps Tooling and Infrastructure: Design, implement, and manage the tools and infrastructure necessary for continuous integration, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and logging.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate the software build, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable releases.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure, leveraging infrastructure-as-code (IaC) techniques for scalability and resilience.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Develop and maintain automation scripts and configuration management tools to streamline the provisioning and management of servers, services, and environments.
  • Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect issues, and respond to incidents, ensuring high system availability and performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for securing infrastructure and applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct performance testing, and optimize system performance to enhance application responsiveness and scalability.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with development, architecture, and support teams to foster a collaborative DevOps culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of processes, configurations, and solutions, and share knowledge with team members to facilitate seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience
  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, and automation tools are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub), experience with linux and MySql.
  • Strong Cloud Experience: In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS or Azure, including infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Swarm or Kubernetes.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure and environments as code.
  • Version Control: Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git) and their integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, tools, and methodologies to stay current in the evolving DevOps landscape.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a DevOps or related role, with hands-on experience in managing production infrastructure and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
