What is the role? Director, People Operations

Reporting to our Senior Director of People, as the Director of People Operations you will leverage your ability to solve complex business problems, prioritize, and design global HR processes to impact and influence our future.You are a multidisciplinary end-to-end leader with a focus on servicing employees and operational excellence. This role calls for a balance of collaborative leadership and the ability to inspire change and influence across the team and beyond, while operating with transparency. We are building a forward thinking, agile, innovative and fun People Operations team that will seamlessly and proactively support ThoughtSpot as we scale. What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and delivery of People Operations services.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects to improve people operations and optimize service delivery.
  • Manages day-to-day operations and planning including facilitation of the standardization of HR processes, systems functionality, and technology solutions, as well as address and resolve operational issues to ensure HR operations/processes remain on track
  • Translate strategic business plans into critical People Operations actions, programs, and initiatives through project and change management programs
  • Providing strategic direction and guidance to staff on all employee lifecycle events including onboarding, exits, LOAs, compensation/role/organization changes, company policies procedures, state and federal law
  • Deliver exceptional experience, efficiency, quality and timeliness across all service areas.
  • Maintain responsibility for HR data and meeting audit requirements
  • Research and implement best practices from the People Operations industry focused on improving the employee experience and standardization and automation of processes
  • Oversees and optimizes people systems processes and procedures for the organization and ensures timely and accurate reporting of information
  • Develops and interprets organizational policies and procedures to ensure required updates in policy are included, and the mission and strategic vision are clearly communicated via policy language.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including but not limited to the People team, Payroll, IT, and Finance in the execution of process improvements and optimization of operations.
  • Leverage a data driven approach to drive decision making and organizational effectiveness. Using data analytics, oversee and produce reporting on trends and analysis of all People Operations
  • Accountable to drive innovation and the practical application of HR system features to meet evolving strategy and influence adoption.
  • Partner with the HR leadership team to ensure that HR services and support are well-timed, well-packaged, and well-understood

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10-15 years experience working in a combination of the following areas: HR; Operations
  • Consultative skills: the ability to build strong partnerships and to influence without authority as well as influence confidently, effectively, and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex services, in a high volume, scaled environment, in accordance with documented processes and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy; ability to do root cause analysis, use data, or if neither exist, use judgment and experience, to guide decisions and action plans.
  • Significant project management experience related to implementation of new, complex programs, systems and/or processes.
  • Passion for leading, developing and motivating frontline operations teams, comprising diverse team members from varying backgrounds with varying levels of experience.
