Position Summary:
The Estimator interprets the scope of work, opening requirements identifies errors and omissions for each project specified with the project documents including but not limited to plans, specifications and addendums
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
- Works with the General Contractor during the bidding or negotiation process for the project.
- Reviews, identifies and communicates the overall best value for the project with the General Contractor.
- Works with our Installation & Services and Security Services departments to provide complete turnkey solutions as required.
- Communicate any errors & omissions or local, state or national code variances with management and project management prior to submitting estimate to General Contractor.
- Perform estimates in Comsense.
- Work in a team environment with estimating personnel.
- Read and interpret Division 8, Division 10, along with basic understanding of Division 26, Division 27, Division 28 and Installation requirements for the project.
- Any other assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in estimating commercial, multi-family, federal/government, hospitality, industrial and medical projects for Division 8 and Division 10. Basic understanding of Divisions 26, 27 and 28.
Minimum Educational Req:
2 to 4-year construction related degree preferred.

Internal and External Interaction:
This position interacts with all divisions and executive management on a regular basis. They interact directly with customers and supports situations in a large geographical area.

- Strong project negotiation skills
- Commercial construction knowledge of UL, ADA, life safety, fire code standards and codes.

- Experience with video conferencing (Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.) and general A/V knowledge to effectively present to clients on site
- Comfortable with learning and adapting to new technologies
