Job Description

Who is Boulevard?

Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most.

Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspa, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen.

We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most.

Our team values and celebrates our diverse backgrounds. Being open about who we are and what we do allows us to do the best work of our lives. We believe in equal opportunity for all, and you should too.

Come do the best work of your life at Boulevard.

As the Events Coordinator, you’ll support our Sr. Events Manager and marketing team, coordinating deliverables and providing on-site support for select trade shows and other industry events.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams including marketing communications, product marketing, education, design agency, and event organizers to ensure all trade show materials are delivered on time. And you’ll provide on-site event support including booth set up, management, take down, etc for select shows. You’ll have both outstanding organization and interpersonal skills.

This is an exciting opportunity as we grow into new markets and expand our event schedule.

What you’ll do here:

  • Communicate with event organizers to gather requirements, specs, and deadlines for each show
  • Set up and manage all event deliverable tasks in our project management system (Asana)
  • Work with copy, design, product marketing, education, and marketing leadership to ensure all materials are created, approved, and submitted on time and according to the specs
  • Support Sr. Events Manager on-site at larger events when needed
  • Able to independently provide on-site support at smaller events after a ramp-up period (attending shows and training with Sr. Events Manager)
  • Work closely with our Sr. Events Manager to ensure all event setup and on-site details are up to Boulevard standards
  • Coordinate with vendors including printers, fulfillment houses, and on-site crew as needed
  • Help with event contracts and invoices, including the contract fulfillment process
  • Support Sr. Event Manager with swag orders and fulfillment

What you’ll need to thrive here:

  • Outstanding organization and project management skills
  • Great written and oral communicator, collaborator, and multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Impeccable attention to detail and high standards for visual layout of trade show booths
  • Able to be a good representative of Boulevard at events who can deliver our value prop to prospects/attendees and create a smooth handoff to sales staff
  • Experience working in a request queue/project management environment or willingness to learn
  • Calm under pressure and able to problem solve when things don’t go according to plan
  • Able to learn and follow “the Boulevard way” of managing events and comfortable taking and applying feedback
  • 1-2 years of event coordination experience, preferable for an in-house marketing team in the technology, fashion, or beauty space
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • This role requires the flexibility to travel for events (up to 15% of the time), including weekends
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds for event set up and take down

How we'll take care of you:

Your total budgeted cash compensation for this role is between $62,370 and $89,100 USD, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands. This range is subject to change, and there is always room for growth and advancement.

In addition to the wonderful people you’ll get to work with and challenging projects that’ll push you - Boulevard is here to make sure you’re always at the top of your game emotionally, mentally, and physically.

  • ✨ We’ve got you covered with a 401(k) match plus dental, medical, vision, and life insurance.

  • 🏝 Take a break whenever you need with our flexible vacation day policy.

  • 🖥 Fully remote so you can choose where you want to work. You’ll receive a work from home stipend every month.
