Role Summary
- Supervise daily maintenance operations for government facilities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with external contractors and vendors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment status.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Collaborate with government officials and other stakeholders to support facility operations.
- Must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, heating and AC, etc.
- Excellent leadership, communication and collaborative skills are essential to this role.
- Minimum 10 years experience in maintenance management, preferably in a government or federal setting.
- Associate's degree or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
- Sitting/Standing: This role requires standing for possibly long periods of time and sitting to perform work utilizing technological office equipment including a laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
- Walking: This role requires the ability to move about inside the office building to access technological equipment required for the role. This role also requires an increased amount of walking at times depending on where the location maybe inside the buildings.
- Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: This role may require stooping to reload printer trays with print paper, kneeling or stooping to fix machines, repair and provide maintenance related duties, etc.
- Using Hands/Fingers: This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, maintenance machinery, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
- Talking/Hearing: This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information.
- Seeing: This role requires the ability to repair, read and see thoroughly to problem-solve and provide solutions.
- Carrying/Lifting: This role requires the ability to lift up to 20lbs to transport technological office equipment to and from various workspaces.
