We currently have a career opportunity for a Healthcare User Interface Strategist to join our team. While Perficient's headquarters are in St. Louis, MO, this role is remote and candidates can be located anywhere in the continental US.

Job Overview:

The Perficient Healthcare team is looking for a Healthcare User Interface Strategist who thrives in a collaborative environment and who relishes the opportunity to deliver targeted strategic planning and innovative UX solutions to healthcare clients. Our strategists are responsible for balancing usability with aesthetic appeal, all in service of an exceptional digital experiences that align with the user journey. In collaboration with project managers, technologists, CMS/CRM strategists and other workstreams, you will produce creative solutions that resonate with target audiences and clients, achieving their business goals as well as user needs.

You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.

  • Lead and participate in client discovery sessions to effectively develop the ideal CX user flows and journeys for health plan and provider clients, specific to CRM, mapping out the steps of the experience, identifying gaps/friction points and designing the ideal user experience.
  • Focus on a human-centered approach that revolves around the health plan user’s needs.
  • Work with clients to understand UX goals and preferences, project goals, interpret brand guidelines and other details necessary for designing and developing a smooth UX process.
  • Create deliverables necessary to establish digital experiences including layout and navigational ideas, interactions and other design intents.
  • Provide visual design strategies and execute front end development for final approved designs in HTML/CSS and/or CRM as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members across disciplines and participate in presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Provide rationale for your work, ensuring solutions are optimized for performance, usability, accessibility and sustainability against the creative brief and client business goals.
  • Apply design best practices with consideration for consistent UI patterns, scalability, integration and ease of maintenance across multiple platforms.
  • Effectively and proactively communicate project status with project managers and creative director.
  • Deliver on deadline and within budget.
  • You have a killer portfolio which effectively showcases your experience, with recent examples of your interface, interactive, visual and web development.
  • You have a minimum 10 years’ experience in a strategic and/or creative design role.
  • You understand how designs and features, animations, etc. might be handled in code.
  • You are familiar with or have participated in various forms of client design workshops and usability testing processes.
  • You possess a clear understanding of design principles, best practices and methodologies (ex. atomic design).
  • You have familiarity with processes around information architecture, persona and journey map development.
  • You understand the fundamental importance of content and content strategy.
  • You have a working knowledge of CRM best practices.
  • You have an endless thirst for knowledge, an open mind, and a drive to discover and integrate the latest design techniques and trends.
  • Experience within healthcare or with healthcare clients a strong plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.
  • Must be open to travel.

Preferred skills and education:

  • Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
  • Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
  • Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
