Ardent is seeking a Help Desk Personnel to join our team.

This is a Remote position.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Help Desk Personnel to join our innovative development team. The Help Desk Personnel will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and deploying cutting-edge software solutions that address our Federal Government Customers technical challenges. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in software development principles, a passion for creating high-quality code, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Software Design and Development:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and design software solutions that meet user needs.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using industry-standard programming languages and development tools.
  • Develop software architectures and design patterns that ensure scalability, maintainability, and extensibility.

Coding and Implementation:

  • Translate software designs into functional code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes while considering performance optimization and user experience.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Design and execute comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Identify and resolve defects and issues through rigorous testing and debugging processes.

Version Control and Collaboration:

  • Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase changes, collaborate with team members, and ensure code integrity.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.

Continuous Integration and Deployment:

  • Work with DevOps teams to integrate software development workflows into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Automate build, deployment, and testing processes to achieve rapid and reliable software releases.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation, system architecture diagrams, and coding guidelines.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members through presentations, code walkthroughs, and mentoring.

Problem Solving and Innovation:

  • Analyze complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions that align with project goals and constraints.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and development trends to drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 0-5 Experience
  • QA/QC knowledge.
  • Metric gathering and reporting experience.
  • Experience with GIS, specifically Esri tools and apps.
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role, with a minimum of X years in software design and development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or others, depending on the project's requirements.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and/or mobile app development (iOS, Android) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL, as well as NoSQL technologies.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
