JOB OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Planner to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our inventory, which is a vital aspect of our cannabis business. The successful candidate will have a strong background in inventory accounting, particularly with perishable products, and possess analytical skills to support our evolving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire inventory cycle, from product cultivation to distribution, ensuring accurate tracking and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product availability.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, demand patterns, and potential areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, product turnover, and any anomalies that may impact business operations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
- Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and improve overall inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and other relevant teams to align inventory practices with broader business goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing inventory processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Planner or similar role, preferably in an agricultural industry.
- Familiarity with handling perishable products and understanding the nuances of inventory management in the cannabis business.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
