Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) oversees medium to large projects, or in some cases multiple small to medium projects, typically at the Division level. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare and present reports for senior management and steering committees regarding the status and health of the project(s).

The successful candidate will work directly with Division-level, and in some cases Group level management to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments (e.g. Shared Services functions) to ensure all aspects of each project are aligned to the appropriate functional strategy.

The PM augments project work to enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add and strengthen the value delivered by the IT Pharma 4.0 Program.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the collaboration between internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within the defined scope, and within the budget
  • Facilitate the process of defining project objectives and scope, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure the availability and allocation of resources, develop a detailed project plan, and monitor progress
  • Manage any changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification and governance techniques
  • Evaluate project performance using suitable tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate project issues to management as necessary
  • Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders
  • Minimize project risks through effective risk management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with customers, when applicable, to understand specific project requirements
  • Assign project tasks based on team members' strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Achieve budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and staff members
  • Continuously develop and utilize leadership skills
  • Attend conferences and training sessions as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in healthcare (e.g., Biotech, Pharma, Medical Equipment, etc.)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AGILE/SCRUM certification is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
