The Logistics Center employee plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through the center. This includes coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory, ensuring that orders are processed on time, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and track inventory levels.
Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
Maintain accurate records of goods received and shipped.
Order Fulfillment:
Process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of products to customers.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of order delivery.
Shipping & Receiving:
Oversee the loading and unloading of goods from trucks and containers.
Ensure that incoming shipments are inspected and properly documented.
Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
Warehouse Organization:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse or logistics center.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track and locate goods.
Ensure all goods are stored in the correct locations.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and ensure the logistics center adheres to health and safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding shipping and receiving.
Team Coordination:
Supervise and train warehouse staff or logistics team members.
Delegate tasks and monitor performance.
Ensure smooth communication between teams to avoid delays.
Problem-Solving:
Address any logistical issues such as delays, damages, or shortages.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipment or inventory-related problems.
Data Management & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and logistics activities.
Provide regular reports on inventory levels, shipping statuses, and other logistics-related activities to management.
