Manager Analytics Business Intelligence at Providence Office Park Portland Bldg. (Full time, Day shift, and Working from Home 100%)

The Population Health Performance Manager serves as a consultant, working in partnership with clinical program/medical group leaders, to manage, interpret and convert to action outputs from our population health data analytic tools. The Population Health Performance Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing the strategies created from those outputs.

The Population Health Performance Manager works extensively with employed and aligned physician leaders to form and operate Specialty Advisory Groups in alignment with the strategies of the High Performing Network, LLC. and other population health efforts.

The Population Health Performance Manager possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The Population Health Performance Manager must be able to work with physicians to communicate complex information from multiple sources and convert that information into measurable actions that impact program performance, financial performance, patient experience, quality outcomes, and affordability. The Population Health Performance Manager will share best practices across the Specialty Advisory Groups including use of innovative technologies to enhance care models (e.g. Twistle).

The Population Health Performance Manager will manage a team of healthcare data analysts who support the work of the Specialty Advisory Groups and the Oregon region Population Health portfolio by providing data and actionable insights. The team will also be responsible for coordination of data sharing amongst the High Performing Network Specialty Advisory Groups including working with claims, EMR, patient satisfaction, and quality metric data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 years Healthcare industry experience, including managed care, population health, physician organizations, health insurance, or experience developing analytics to solve strategic business problems.
  • 5 years Project management, or program management experience.
  • 3 years in healthcare data analytics working with multiple data systems, analytical tools and data reporting tools.
  • 3 years complex data interpretation, presentation creation and delivery to small and large groups.
  • Presentation experience to large and diverse audiences including senior-level executives and physicians.
  • 3 years experience working with value based payment models including cost containment and managed care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Formal training in project management, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Coursework/Training: Training in healthcare financial models, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Formal certification in project management, HFMA certifications in financial models or managed care upon hire.
  • Experience working with clinicians around data interpretation, practice variation, process improvement, care pathway development, and action planning.
  • Experience in facilitation, coaching, training, and change management.
  • Demonstrated record of data-driven discovery, intense intellectual curiosity, and a passion for working with data to answer important questions about population health that drive the Quadruple Aim.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
