Reporting to the Head of US Medical Information, the Medical Information & Scientific Communications Manager will:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of scientific/clinical data related to CSL Vifor supported products and relevant disease-states.
  • Manage activities of Medical Information and the call center, including content development (Standard Response Letter review, and maintenance), prompt handling of escalated inquiries, insight analysis, literature review, and conference support.
  • Work with internal and external partners (KOLs), and vendors to develop Medical Affairs (MA)/MSL content for proactive and reactive resources, including slide decks, data on file, AMCP dossier, and training programs; work with vendors, if necessary.
  • Maintains AMCP dossier and performs annual review of compendia.
  • You will manage operational processes related to Veeva platforms (PromoMats, MedComms, Vault, Links, CRM), including management of the medical review committee, and ensure content synchronization across MA applications.
  • Participate in and support additional MA projects based on business need.
  • Manage the US Medical Information content library, including local standard response letters (SRLs)/local key information documents (LKIDs) and frequently asked questions (FAQs) for use by the call center.
  • Use a continuous improvement process to update the US Medical Information content library to ensure content is relevant, easily understood, and contains the most up-to-day information.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external KOLs to identify key topics and information gaps that needs addressed in through scientific communication from MA.
  • Identify new approaches and trends in scientific communication to differentiate CSL Vifor from other companies.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of compliance and legal requirements related to Medical Communication and Education.

Qualifications:

The knowledge necessary to perform the responsibilities of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience, or the equivalent.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (MD, PharmD, or PhD)
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical affairs or medical information, specifically including medical information and scientific content development
  • Experience in Nephrology
  • Knowledge of relevant US regulations and industry codes for medical information and dissemination of scientific information to health care professionals
  • Able to travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Requirements

  • 5+ years of medical affairs experience
  • Experience in Cardiology
  • Experience with Veeva platforms, IRMS, Microsoft, and Adobe applications
  • Experience with review of medical or promotional content.
  • Experience with regulatory, drug safety, and legal implications of Medical Affairs activities, e.g. experience with compliance regulations.

The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $150K - $185K. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for you is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies, and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role will also include sales incentive compensation and may include equity.
