National Sales Consultant

Location: Remote in the USA

Job Overview:

The National Sales Consultant provide sales assistance as the key product and curriculum presenter at major pre-sale revenue opportunities. Respond to product information questions from customers during presentations and meetings. Support/provide sessions at the national, regional and state meetings regarding product updates and roll outs. Attend and present at appropriate national, regional and state conferences, including all aspects of product presentations, exhibit support, and lead generation. Present at Math and Science Leadership Events for all regions. Increase sales by assisting individual reps with web-based or in-person demonstrations of EL curriculum products. Improve responsiveness to customer need by helping reps answer customer requests and respond effectively to competitive and in-depth content review. Assist in training of new hires and current reps in presentation strategies for all EL products. Work with Development to ensure that all new products are developed with appropriate selling tools (i.e. usage reports, demonstration modes, and differentiation). Help develop tools, scripts, and other presentation materials to help rep present individually. Work pro-actively with Sales Management and Marketing to improve the quality of selling tools used by Sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the research, content, and key selling points of each ExploreLearning product, while acting as the central point of contact for product-related questions.

  • Develop and Improve effective pre-sale presentations for each curriculum product.

  • Work autonomously to obtain proficiency in math and science products and acquire knowledge of the education market.

  • Deliver pre-sales presentations on math and science products to high-level decision makers with the ability to persuade and help close business via online presentation tools such as Zoom and TEAMS.

  • Improve product knowledge and selling skills by attending all sales meetings and training sessions.

  • Be informed of funding opportunities and keep districts and management updated on critical deadlines.

  • Provide product training to sales associates individually and in smaller groups (i.e., field sales, inside sales).

  • Develop and maintain a positive business relationship with management, inside and field sales, and related Cambium Learning department staff.

  • Stay current with general educational marketplace trends.

  • Follow key states education departments with the focus of aligning our products to match key priorities.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • Minimum three years K-12 teaching experience.

  • Proven presentation skills (in person and online).

  • Highly effective organizational skills with excellent attention to details.

  • Exceptional Understanding of the K-12 education market.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

  • Dynamic listening, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment to achieve common goals.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Experience or background in Math or Science, preferably with ExploreLearning Products.

  • Knowledge of math/science curriculum products and services (both core and supplemental).

  • Knowledge of math and/or science curriculum.

  • Held leadership position at district or site level.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft, Google suite of products.

  • Experience presenting at national education conferences.
