As a Partnerships Business Development Manager focused on Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Scotland and North England, you will play a vital role in expanding our reach and building strong relationships with esteemed educational institutions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with leading universities and colleges to create innovative partnerships that foster the growth and success of both FutureLearn and our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage with potential partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Content Providers and Publishers in Scotland and North England.
  • Understand Partner goals and aspirations and help them to maximise these through excellent use of the FutureLearn platform and services.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of organisations, to achieve agreed targets and objectives
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including academic leaders , faculty members, marketing leads and senior organisational leaders, in HEIs, Content Providers and Publishers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored partnership proposals and lead on contract negotiations.
  • Promote and develop the use of FutureLearn's Services and membership packages to support our Partners getting most value from their connection with FutureLearn
  • Drive the growth of FutureLearn's partner network and increase the number of courses available from all partners in the designated region.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Host and participate in conferences, seminars, and events to promote FutureLearn's offerings to HEIs.
  • Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop effective strategies and campaigns to engage partners and promote opportunities to maximise learner involvement in their courses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Marketing, or Education.
  • Proven strong, consultative selling skills to senior leadership.
  • Proven experience in business development and partnership management within the Higher Education or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Scottish and North England Higher Education landscape (or an ability to learn and contribute quickly).
  • Excellent communication (written and presentational) and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and achieve targets.
  • Knowledge of online learning platforms and the latest trends in digital education.
  • Ability to travel as required within Scotland and North England for meetings and events.
