We are currently looking for a Product Owner (PO) to strengthen our organization based in the Poland Tech Hub in Krakow.

The Agile Release Train (ART) Remote Functions helps to deliver the Volvo Cars mobile app, which has revolutionized the industry. Everyday, we make life less complicated for hundreds of thousands of people by giving them remote access to the car from the comfort of their couch. With the app, you can, for instance, start, heat and prepare the car for your trip by sending your destination to the car, either from your phone, tablet, or your watch. There are approximately 20 agile teams in this ART.

We are now looking for a product owner who will be working with the Access and Security functionality of the Volvo Cars Mobile app, which requires skill and drive in collaboration and skills to align different needs and wishes. Stakeholders are found all over Volvo Cars, including UX, other product areas, business ownership and Volvo executive leadership. The Product Owner defining the backlog is then developed by a team consisting of highly efficient software developers, UX designers and fault tracers.

You will work in a creative environment, within an ART that is constantly implementing new functionality, where we focus on both developing the product but also the individuals. We are organized according to SAFe and want to build empowered self-organizing teams that act proactively, take responsibility, and strive to build a great product for the end customer.

You and your skills

You are a proven leader with previous experience as a Product Owner or similar roles. You also possess an academic degree (B.Sc. or higher) within a relevant area. Good knowledge of the English language (both written and verbal) is essential in an international environment. You need to have a valid driver’s license B.

What You’ll Do

  • Own, build, prioritize, decide, and refine the roadmap and product backlog.
  • Create & maintain the short- and long-term vision together with the business flow of the product.
  • Work with Product Managers to define and maintain the ART roadmaps.
  • Collaborate in Volvo/Polestar to align roadmaps.
  • Describe/demo the functionality within Volvo and externally (e.g., media relations).
  • Validate backlog items making sure they meet the acceptance criteria, definition of done (DoD), and have the appropriate tests.
  • Continuously develop your own skills and help the team and other Product Owners to develop theirs.
