Our client is an infrastructure investment company that develops telecommunications projects globally. As a Project Coordinator / Accountant, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the day-to-day workflows and budget through the entire project lifecycle: from pre-development through the construction and stabilization phases of development.
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on all project activities, accounting, and compliance. The Project Coordinator will join a global team that is entrepreneurial and outcome-oriented. The position will report directly to senior management with an opportunity for growth. The ideal candidate is a mid-career professional with a strong background in financial management and project delivery, is organized and task-oriented, and can keep management on schedule with multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Coordination
- Lead project coordination and monitor workflows for pending and active development projects
- Document ongoing progress and provide research support to team leads
- Create status reports, checklists, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones
- Coordinate communication and scheduling with clients
- Accounting
- Generate and review monthly financial statements
- Process invoices, prepare payments, and monitor activities in line with budget
- Review contracts, coordinate work orders, and ensure compliance with scopes of work
- Evaluate and improve reporting systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Executive Support
- Support senior management with project tracking and resource prioritization
- Research support for new projects in development
- Assist with asset management of completed projects
Requirements
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting, auditing, project management, or similar function
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the infrastructure, construction, engineering, or finance sectors
- Familiarity with project management workflows; prior use of Asana is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel and contract management
