Job Description:
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Online Reading Specialist to join our team and help children succeed in reading! Using a structured Science of Reading-based curriculum that is fun and easy to teach, you will provide engaging, effective, and individualized lessons to students through 25-minute Zoom sessions. Your role will be to build confidence in young readers, foster a love for reading, and ensure measurable progress.
Responsibilities:
Teach students (K-8) using a fun, effective, and easy-to-teach online curriculum
Create a fun, engaging, and encouraging learning environment
Maintain regular communication with parents to update them on student performance
Foster strong relationships with students to ensure their confidence and enthusiasm for reading
Provide assessments and track student progress regularly
Requirements:
Degree in elementary education and/or reading intervention
Familiarity with Science of Reading principles
Ability to connect with and engage children in a virtual setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be energetic, positive, and patient
Schedule:
Initially, you must be available Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM Central Time and 4 PM to 8 PM Central Time to make it easy to fill your schedule. Once you have 20 hours worth of students, you will have more flexibility (according to your students' availability).
It will take several weeks to fill your schedule, so your hours will take time to build up.
You will hired as a 1099 independent contractor.

The company employs independent contractor instructors to deliver personalized reading intervention and support to students in a virtual learning environment.
