We are hiring a Release Train Engineer to work on a pivotal Federal program that is making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives.

What you'll be doing:

As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will be a key facilitator in ensuring the successful delivery of complex software products and solutions within an Agile framework. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, scrum masters, and development teams, to drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality releases.

  • Agile Facilitation: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Promote collaboration, transparency, and alignment across teams. Remove impediments and ensure smooth execution of Agile processes.
  • Release Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define release goals and priorities. Coordinate release planning sessions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage dependencies and risks across multiple teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements within the Agile Release Train (ART). Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization. Implement best practices and Agile principles.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to release delivery. Provide visibility into progress, velocity, and quality metrics. Use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and transparency. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership. Bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical teams.

What you’ll bring:

  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles.
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous delivery.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably as an RTE or Scrum Master.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically
  • Must be able to attain low-level security clearance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification preferred.

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $100,000 – $150,000
