Extenteam is currently looking for a Remote Digital and Web Designer to undertake the following tasks:
Job Summary:
The Digital and Web Designer must be able to take a creative brief, sketches, or even a conversation and turn it into a creative solution that meets stakeholder's goals and requirements while working closely with the strategy and content teams to develop creative content across multiple channels.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Reporting to the Creative Director and the Graphic Design Team Lead, act as a creative leader and key contributor in guiding design projects to completion.
- Design and coordinate revisions for digital layouts, emails, websites, social posts, display ads, digital OOH and other digital collateral.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Design and meticulously craft the visual elements of a website / digital assets, such as the layout, color scheme, typography, and graphical assets.
- Use design software to create high-fidelity mockups and visual designs that align with our brand and project goals.
- Customize WordPress themes and templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to meet project requirements.
- Proficiency in front-end development frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD for web design enhancement and user experience improvement.
- Conceptualization and wireframing: brainstorm web design concepts and ideas for website layouts, structures, and navigation.
- Use wireframing and low-fidelity prototyping to visualize the skeletal framework and user flow of a website to refine the design concept.
- Implement plugins and extensions to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues, ensuring website performance and security.
- Stay updated on WordPress development trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve skills.
- Familiarity with Elementor page builder and its customization capabilities.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to present creative ideas while working within corporate brand guidelines.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas.
- Develop new ways to tell the brand story generating ideas for how the company can come to life across multiple channels.
- Ensure the quality of creative deliverables.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with design, strategic, and content teams and develop the vision for innovative new solutions, solving some of our toughest challenges. Be able to translate verbal and written instructions and feedback into beautiful & compelling designs that maintain the brand aesthetic while promoting marketing goals.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with both internal and external teams.
- Demonstrate the "the company's experience" and advocate for the brand’s standards through the actions you take daily.
- Manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines, often working within strict turnaround times.
- Demonstrate a creative, dynamic, and flexible approach to solving problems and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Champion new ideas and design-best-practices to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Remain well-informed of current graphic trends and stay up-to-date with industry developments & tools.
- Maintain unparalleled attention to detail, ensuring the stakeholder receives excellence in service and quality design while remaining within the scope and timeline set for a particular project.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Requirements
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Advertising, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2+ years of experience working in visual design or web design with a focus on design, user experience, and storytelling.
- Proven expertise in graphic design skills and high levels of innovation through a professional portfolio and a thorough understanding of design tools. (E.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to communicate through storytelling with an ability to draw people in and enhance understanding with the use of design and written language.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and iterate on different design options based on stakeholder, team, or user feedback.
- Ability to handle uncertainty and ambiguity well and make clear decisions with limited information.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Internet speed minimum 30mbps
- i5 8th Gen or higher
- Windows 10 / MacOS Catalina or higher
- Minimum of 8 GB RAM
- Private and quiet dedicated home office area (no roosters, dogs, children's noises in the background)
- Back-ups in case of power or internet provider interruptions
- Good headset and webcam (preferably noise-canceling headset)
