    Summary

    We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Coordinating Manager to lead our Project Coordinating and Field Technician Departments. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader with excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills to oversee daily operations and ensure the successful execution of environmental projects.

    In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing department employees, coordinating field projects, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring projects are scheduled and completed on time. You’ll serve as a key liaison between clients, project coordinators, field technicians, and laboratories, ensuring smooth communication, accurate reporting, and exceptional customer service.

    You’ll also oversee project deliverables, review and approve reports, coordinate client inquiries, provide pricing and proposals, and support business development by identifying opportunities to sell company services.

    We are looking for someone who can lead a fast-paced team, manage competing priorities, make sound decisions under pressure, and maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

    What You’ll Do

    • Manage the daily operations of the Project Coordinating and Field Technician Departments, ensuring efficient workflows, staffing, and project execution.

    • Lead and supervise department employees, including managing schedules, assigning responsibilities, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance.

    • Coordinate and prioritize field projects to ensure work is scheduled and completed on time and according to client and operational requirements.

    • Serve as a key liaison between project coordinators, field technicians, clients, laboratories, and internal departments.

    • Oversee client communication, including project updates, clearance results, technical questions, pricing, proposals, and service-related concerns.

    • Review and interpret laboratory results and technical findings and communicate relevant information accurately to clients and team members.

    • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of reports, reporting tables, invoices, emails, and other client deliverables.

    • Coordinate with laboratories regarding sample analysis, results, turnaround times, and issues that may impact project timelines.

    • Cross-train team members and develop workflows that maintain operational coverage and efficiency.

    • Conduct department meetings, monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and address issues affecting deadlines or client satisfaction.

    • Train, mentor, and provide feedback to team members while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

    • Manage a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and resolve complex operational and client issues efficiently.

    • Maintain strong client relationships and support a high level of customer satisfaction.

    • Support the Operations Director with department planning, resource allocation, and process improvements.

    • Be available to work outside normal business hours, including occasional Saturdays, when necessary to meet operational deadlines.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the environmental industry or a related field.

    • Previous experience supervising employees and managing departmental operations, schedules, and workloads.

    • Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

    • Strong leadership, delegation, and decision-making skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and client-service-oriented approach.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, field technicians, laboratories, homeowners, and internal teams.

    • Working knowledge of environmental testing, laboratory analysis, and related technical concepts, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.

    • Experience reviewing and interpreting laboratory results, technical reports, and other project documentation.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing reports, invoices, emails, and client deliverables.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn company databases, project management systems, and other software applications.

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure, solve problems quickly, and adapt to changing priorities.

    • Experience training, mentoring, and developing team members.

    • English proficiency at B2 level or above.

    • High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

    • Proactive approach to identifying and removing roadblocks for clients and internal teams.

    • Proven remote work experience with a dedicated home office setup, reliable computer, quality headset, and stable internet connection.

    • Willingness to work a Monday-Saturday operational schedule as needed, including occasional work outside regular business hours.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in environmental consulting, environmental testing, industrial hygiene, or a related technical services industry.

    • Certifications in Asbestos, Lead, or Industrial Hygiene, such as CAC, LI-RA, or CMI.

    • Previous laboratory experience.
