Your Role and Responsibilities:
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders;
Track and communicate project progress and status;
Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile practices and values to delight customers;
Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity;
Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments;
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of being blamed or judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving;
Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work;
Assist with internal and external communication by improving transparency and radiating information;
Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog;
Lead daily stand ups, retrospectives, planning sessions, reviews sessions, and any other sessions that may be is necessary.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Strong experience as a Scrum Master in a software development team that applied agile principles, practices, and theory;
Good skills and knowledge in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and empowerment;
Knowledge of well-documented patterns and techniques (Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, etc);
Knowledge or experience with successful techniques such as: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc;
Advanced English, both spoken and written;
Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent professional experience;
Knowledge of different task management tools (Jira, Trello, etc);
Knowledge of other methodologies and frameworks such as: XP, Kanban, Lean, DevOps, LESS, SAFe, etc;
Experience with remote teams, across different time zones and cultures;
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment is a definite plus;
Experience working with international, cross-functional, and remote teams;
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
