About the Role

We are seeking a tenured Senior Business Development Manager with a track record of delivering ‘SaaS’ revenue to join our Sales team at the ECA International Group (comprising of ECA International, Tracker Software Technologies ‘TST’, and and our associate Global Expat Pay).

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in expanding our client base and running competitive Tender processes that result from your sales activity. You will be reporting into and supported by the Head of Sales for either the TST or ECA companies.

Your ability to identify market trends, analyse competitive landscapes, and adapt our technology offerings to meet client needs will be essential to your success in this role. You will have the ECA and TST feature-set at your disposal hence the role requires someone with a broad understanding of either the Travel and/or Global Mobility industries.

The Group expects the successful candidate to have exceptional presentation experience teamed with a confident demeaner and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have had experience completing and owning RFP processes, managing them to successful outcomes. Prior to the tender processes, you will have managed clients through a lengthy sales cycle, connecting multiple Stakeholders as part of a complex ‘SaaS’ sale. It is likely you will be supporting prospective clients who are looking to implement technology of this kind for the first time, which requires a consultative approach.

In addition to the above we are hoping for someone who wants to engage wider audiences at industry forums, publish articles and become a well-recognised face of the Group to the industry.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients from various industries, providing you with a broad understanding of different business landscapes and challenges. By leveraging this knowledge, you will be able to strategically position our company as a valuable partner and customise our solutions to meet the unique demands of each client. In addition, you will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams, including marketing, and product development, to develop and implement comprehensive strategies that drive business growth and ensure the overall success of our organisation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new business opportunity including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Generate leads and prospective customers via industry contacts, presentations, meetings and cold approaches.
  • Manage a consultative sales process including technology demonstrations.
  • Understand the needs of our clients and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise our clients on them.
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the Marketing department.
  • Own and manage RFP/competitive tender processes including content and presentations.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in driving business growth and generating revenue through successful business development or sales roles with a strong emphasis on results and tangible outcomes.
  • Experience selling ‘SaaS’ solutions. Ideally in a tech-focussed environment; within the Big Four, or a tech-focussed travel solution.
  • Familiar with developing a prospective client relationship across a lengthy sales-cycle, with multiple Stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience and deep understanding of the global mobility or travel industry, including industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs would be desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and decision-making, with the ability to analyse complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Highly adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and colleagues, fostering long-term partnerships and collaboration.
  • Outstanding strategic and analytical thinking capabilities, with a keen ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and develop actionable plans to drive business growth.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a relentless focus on achieving targets and exceeding expectations, consistently delivering outstanding performance and driving measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in cross-functional teams, leveraging diverse perspectives and expertise to drive collective success.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to leverage technology and data to drive effective sales and business development strategies.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as required, both domestically and internationally, to effectively engage with clients, partners, and industry events.
