Job Description

MCS Digital Product Managers will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, business requirements, roadmap, and execution for assigned MCS digital products and services. Advocates for the client and end user experience through data and research driven product discovery and development methods. Ensures alignment between Product, Business and Leadership priorities in context of MCS overall strategy and goals, while ensuring the end-user needs are met. Oversees the entire life cycle of the assigned digital product, from defining setting the vision, managing to OKRs, developing innovation and strategic road maps, managing capacity, and ultimately creating best in class digital products and services that drive revenue generation, competitive advantage, and operational efficiency. Accountable to the success of a cross-functional team including, including experts in design, IT, analytics, marketing, sales, services, operations, partners, and others. Applies and operates effectively with Agile product methodologies. Responsible for driving the digital product strategy, vision, design, and development execution. Ensure delivery of high-value digital products and services in alignment with business goals and market opportunities. Leads a high performing cross-functional team effectively and efficiently that is collaborative with business partners, customers, and other stakeholders. Leverages market, sales, operations, laboratory partners, customer feedback and data to inform and guide future product/feature development. Advocate for end-users and builds and improves features based on their pain points. Proactively manages and monitors product and operational risks (regulatory, pricing, security, operational, etc.) in order to prevent and/or mitigate risks to the customer and business. Ability to establish deep partnerships with business stakeholders to ensure product achieves business requirements and aligns to other organizational strategies and priorities. Monitors and manages product schedules, pricing, scopes budgets, delivering and implementation as scheduled. Manages external Mayo Clinic vendor and partnership relationships as assigned. Sets and manages to product performance scorecards and OKRs. Works collaboratively across all MCS domains, business partners and Mayo Clinic Shared Services. Works collaboratively with internal customers, including consultants, business stakeholders, executives, and external business partners. Represents Mayo Clinic and MCS in interactions with vendors, and non-Mayo partners in a positive and constructive way.

AdditionalResponsibilities Include:

  • Ability to translate qualitative and quantitative analysis and documentation into sound business strategies and functional planning.
  • The SPM role requires strong P&L knowledge and financial aptitude, as well as full life-cycle management experience.
  • Must be adept and experienced in effectively collaborating with a direct sales team and working closely with both internal and external clients to understand and translate market needs into product and services solutions.
  • Responsible for tracking the competitive marketplace landscape to benchmark strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Proactively planning contingencies to lessen the impact of issues and risks, collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts to recommend solutions, demonstrates ability to effectively negotiate and manage needs and expectations among key stakeholders and project team members at department and enterprise level.
  • The SPM must be effective and experienced in developing go-to-market strategies and marketing plans that enable achievement of strategic product roadmaps.
  • The SPM will provide thought leadership to clients and our direct sales team as a subject matter expert with respect to their specific product portfolio.
  • Effective in providing quarterly strategic and financial reporting and forecasting to executive leadership.

This position is 100% remote work; can work from anywhere in the U.S.

Bachelor's Degree (business, communications, advertising, marketing, statistics, engineering, technology, health care). Master’s Degree preferred. 5+ years of product management experience with experience managing full product lifecycle for complex products or a family of products.

  • Digital Product management experience which includes leading sizable digital product teams
  • Demonstrated collaborative management ability with proven skills in leading without authority, results oriented with proven ability to work on a diverse range of activities and projects simultaneously
  • Strong communicator (written & verbal) with active listening skills.
  • Ability to facilitate group/team discussions.

Preference for health care experience (clinical, management, technology, other) from some Product Manager roles.
