Your Impact

As a Senior Finance Director, you will serve as the finance business partner for our new market teams including Federal, Corrections, Enterprise, and Fire/EMS as well as be the finance lead for recent and future M&A targets. In this role you will help drive key business decisions by partnering with executive leadership, build financial models, evaluate market opportunities and deliver key performance data to the teams you support. Additionally, you will work with the core FP&A team on ad hoc initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• You will be the de facto CFO supporting our new markets and any newly acquired entities
• You will partner with sales leadership and business leaders of newly acquired companies by providing financial and strategic support to achieve aggressive growth targets
• Assist with M&A integration and lead finance for newly acquired companies
• You will conduct market research, build financial models and build business plans to evaluate investment decisions and market opportunities
• You will assist your teams in preparing materials for our strategic planning process, pricing planning and budget process
• You will develop and present operational reporting packages to measure your teams’ performance
• You will assist your teams in building and achieving budget objectives
• You will assist with developing Board and C-team presentations
• You will participate in corporate FP&A meetings such as executive corporate forecast reviews and budget vs. actuals reviews
• You will assist with ad hoc FP&A projects that arise due to our rapid growth

What You Bring

• Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting
• 10-+ years of experience in business analytics, financial modeling, forecasting, and strategy in a dynamic environment
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Prior experience working in a startup environment preferred
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial business leaders
• Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Concern for high-quality deliverables and deadlines

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 200,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 300,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 400,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 500,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
