Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engagement Team. Our Engineers are responsible for crafting and optimizing customer-facing applications. The Engagement Team builds and maintains the technology needed to allow customers to access telehealth appointments, manage their accounts, manage their medication, and keep customers engaged. You will likely have:

  • 6+ years of experience building successful production software systems
  • Technical Strength areas: React, Typescript, JavaScript.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Datadog/Heap/GTM) and A/B tools (Kameleon, Launch Darkly) to make data-driven decisions to improve the front-end experience.
  • Competent in software engineering tools (e.g. build tools) and best practices (e.g. unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, etc.)
  • A background focused on performance improvement working closely with customer-facing and product growth teams.
  • Experience creating an onboarding application that delights customers.
  • A customer-first mindset building complex software systems from 0-1.
  • Proven ability to create meaningful partnerships between product, marketing, and customer experience teams.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Passion for development and ability to dig into solving problems
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes

You May Have:

  • NodeJS GraphQL APIs, Firebase, Material UI or similar
  • Experience working in startups, especially telehealth or D2C e-commerce companies.
  • Experience working with Iterable, or other technologies of the sort.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of entire sections of the frontend.
  • Refine the end-user experience within the onboarding and customer-facing applications.
  • Create A/B tests to improve conversion rates of acquiring new customers.
  • Embedded in the heart of conversion flow to ensure this funnel is as efficient as possible.
  • Foster a partnership between product, marketing, and engineering.
  • Proactively test feature components to ensure their stability upon release.
  • Hands-on the keyboard role working with the original team of frontend and backend developers.
  • Crafting an environment that enhances overall performance improvement.
  • Validate technologies and approaches to achieve development objectives.
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Mentor and guide other developers.
  • Execute full lifecycle software development.
  • Develop client and internal-facing applications and features that delight the user.
  • Debug issues in production, root cause, and apply fixes in a timely manner.
  • Learn and understand how Henry Meds works and help build end-to-end solutions.
  • Learn and grow from working with great colleagues and taking on challenges.
