We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate TelehealthCertified Medical Assistant to join our team. If you are passionate about delivering top-notch customer and patient support while utilizing your healthcare expertise, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Virtual Patient Care:
- Communicate with patients through telemedicine platforms, video calls, or phone calls.
- Guide patients in self-administering basic healthcare procedures or tests under healthcare provider supervision.
- Collect and record patient medical history, symptoms, and medication information.
- Provide patients with information on their conditions, medications, and treatment plans through virtual communication as well as instructions on administering and dosing of medications per their medical record.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage patient scheduling for virtual appointments if indicated.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHRs) and other patient information.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members through telecommunication tools.
- Offer support to patients and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Experience with patient education. (index on this in a remote environment) - telehealth platform.
Technology Proficiency:
- Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms, EHR systems, and other medical software.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to virtual patient interactions.
- Ensure compliance with remote healthcare regulations and protocols.
Key Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required while a NCMA (National Certified Medical Assistant) is an added bonus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant position is required - experience in a telephonic CMA role is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with effective patient education (required) and in a telemedicine environment (strongly preferred.)
- Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms, video conferencing tools, and medical office EMR software.
- Experience with ZenDesk, GSuite, and Slack preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a virtual setting.
Compensation for the Telehealth Certified Medical Assistant is $23.80 non-exempt/hourly.
