Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, working together to tackle exciting problems.

The Zebra is expanding our compliance team, and we’re seeking a Senior Manager of Legal Operations Contracts Manager to help us maintain a world-class insurance buying experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the compliance culture. We are looking for a versatile, experienced professional who loves to make an impact through cross-organizational efforts to keep The Zebra compliant with various state and federal regulations.

Location:

While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still in the process of establishing our company to support work in all states! We’ve recently made the shift from an in-office organization to a hybrid model and love the flexibility it allows our employees. We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only, and a mix of the two. Please note - we will not be supporting work based out of the following states: CA, MA, NY, NJ.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute the legal operations and contracts strategy, aligning with overall organizational goals and ensuring legal processes enhance business efficiency.
  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and management, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the legal department, implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce legal risk.
  • Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while managing workloads and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, including legal service providers and technology partners, to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as finance, procurement, and business development, to provide legal support and contribute to the achievement of overall business objectives.
  • Provide ongoing training to legal and cross-functional teams on legal processes, contract management, and relevant legal updates.

What We're Looking For:

As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks with a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory environment with at least four (4) years of experience inside corporate legal or compliance functions.
  • Strong People leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory processes and requirements.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

Benefits Perks:

Inclusive and healthy environments are crafted intentionally. All our employees can join and participate in (or create your own!) Employee Resource Groups. Here are some other wonderful perks of working here:

  • Competitive Compensation Stock Option Offering
  • Health, Dental, Vision Disability Coverages
  • HSA offering + employer contribution
  • 401k with match
  • Unlimited PTO (paid time off)+ flexibility to enjoy it
  • Paid Parental Leave Program
  • Learning Development Opportunities
  • Join a team that truly lives their values (outside of the office. Cliche, we know… but we really mean it)
