Job Summary:

Blavity Inc. is looking for a Senior Manager, Media Planning to lead and create innovative cross channel digital media and experiential strategies. This position is a player/coach role and partners closely with revenue Operations, Partnerships, Integrated Marketing and the Ad Operations team. The ideal candidate has a fundamental knowledge of the digital media ecosystem, strong analytical and communication skills, and previous people management experience.

This role will report directly to the Associate Director, Revenue Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Media Planning team to develop cost-effective media plans that achieve clients' campaign goals within their budgets
  • Support the Sales team in digital media campaign planning and developing strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Director to streamline processes, implement best practices, and update product offerings and rate card strategy
  • Proactively identify and address system issues, priorities, and process gaps to optimize efficiency and drive revenue growth and client retention
  • Combine internal analysis with ongoing market research and competitive landscaping to advise pricing, partnerships and market opportunities for new and existing products
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand campaign objectives and KIPs and strategically utilize inventory and products to maximize revenue
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues throughout the Blavity organization to support analysis of product performance based on multiple internal metrics including technical, financial, sales and strategic benchmarks
  • Partner with the Ad Operations team to manage and control inventory (understanding sell through rate, as well as what is not sold)

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required Experience:
    • 4+ yrs of digital media experience at a publisher or agency
    • Experience evaluating and recommending digital media mixes that help ensure successful campaigns
  • Preferred Experience:
    • A communicative and patient leader with 2+ years of experience focused on people development and mentorship
    • Previous experience working in digital media, or related high-growth start-up
  • Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce and Operative/AOS
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
    • Comfort with ambiguity and a proven love for transforming unorganized/complex data into rigorously structured, insight-oriented solutions
    • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills; outgoing and sociable; willing to wear multiple hats
    • Naturally detail-oriented, with an obsessive need to document and communicate findings
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details:

  • This is a fully remote, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work at least 50% in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone.
  • The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000.
