Job Description

At Edge, we’re on a mission to make hiring globally easier than hiring locally. We’re revolutionizing remote hiring by building a modern digital platform for discovering, hiring and managing remote talent - all while abstracting away the complexities of hiring globally.

We’re building experiences for each of our core user segments and as part of this role, you will be responsible for the overall platform spanning multiple segments. This is a full-time, remote position reporting into the Director of Product Management, with a potential pathway to owning experiences for a specific segment or product area.

You would be a great fit if you:

  • Are passionate about building a great product and can sweat the details while still being able to ensure that timelines are effectively communicated, and met.
  • Understand the need to ship things in phases and can creatively work with requirements, expectations and stakeholders to ship impactful experiences that deliver value from day one but get incrementally better over time.
  • Have a background in software engineering or a track record of having worked closely with technical teams at software companies. After all, we can’t have you asking Engineering if REST is what they do when they’re tired after a major feature release.
  • Are cool with uncertainty. As a rapidly growing company, we don’t claim to know everything so we embrace uncertainty and run with it. For us, this means trying out things, being customer-obsessed, having a hacker mindset and being able to make quick decisions.
  • Think strategically and have a track record of managing product roadmaps and other artifacts effectively to build alignment across the organization.
  • Are well-versed with business and growth, particularly in a SaaS context and have between 3-7 years of experience working in both B2B and B2C settings.
  • Think and build in terms of systems that work well together and fail gracefully, not fragmented, band-aid experiences that create more problems than they solve
  • Care deeply about the experience, appreciate good design and can take it upon yourself to make things easier and joyful for our users. We’re committed to doing what is difficult, so we can make things easy for our users
  • Can communicate effectively both verbally and orally to share progress, conduct customer research and build cross-functional and executive alignment on product plans.
  • Can bake in scalability from the start instead of propagating tightly coupled rigid structures and inflexible systems that cannot cope with future changes and lead to additional tech debt.
  • Are comfortable with data and analytics and not just using it to answer business questions but charting out how we can identify key opportunities to capture meaningful data that can power our decisions and insights.
  • Have the audacity to question if we’re asking the right questions and are not afraid of having unpopular opinions or unconventional ideas - we celebrate those.
  • Have the humility to admit it when you don’t know the answer, and the curiosity and commitment to continue trying until you do.
  • Don’t let your ego get in the way of building something great that can help a lot of people. Progress happens when we set aside personal differences and focus on doing something bigger than ourselves.
  • Have a growth mindset and are consistently learning more and trying out new approaches to push your limits as an individual and ours as a product team.
  • Assume extreme ownership to ensure we’re building the right things, the right way and for the right reasons.
  • Are kind, compassionate and think human-first because we want our product to be a reflection of our vision for a kinder, more equitable world.

If this mostly sounds like you and you’re up for an exciting role at a fast-paced company with a strong appetite for growth and innovation, please get in touch even if you don’t check all the boxes because we’re all imperfect communicators and we’d love to talk to you. We welcome people from diverse backgrounds.

Perks

  • The chance to work in a high visibility role at a high-growth startup
  • Work on the future of remote hiring
  • Change a lot of lives by getting tens of thousands of people access to fair paying jobs
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Great IT equipment
  • USD Compensation
  • Regular, company organized social and recreational events
