The Opportunity
The Senior Project Management System Administrator will be the primary system administrator for the organization’s project management platform, Planview AdaptiveWork. This individual will manage system configuration, liaise with end-users, and ensure the system aligns with organizational goals. The administrator will manage the product backlog and enhancement requests, oversee system upgrades, represent the user community, and collaborate with Shared Services departments, including Business Systems, on cross-system process changes. The ideal candidate will provide guidance on optimal system use, ensuring seamless adoption and ongoing efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation, including user guides, system architecture, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Provide expert-level support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the system for project management tasks.
- Work closely with the Project Management Center of Excellence team to design and deliver training programs and materials for system users.
- Collect and analyze user feedback to improve the system and resolve pain points.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, including new feature requests, system improvements, and bug fixes, working with Business Systems to resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, technical leads, Finance and Accounting team, and the Business Systems team, to gather and analyze requirements for system enhancements.
- Facilitate a release schedule for system improvements based on organizational needs and emerging project management trends.
- Advise on and implement best practices for optimal system use, ensuring alignment with project management methodologies and organizational goals.
- Conduct regular audits of system usage to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Promote system adoption and alignment with organizational and PM Center of Excellence processes and standards.
- Oversee system data integrity, ensuring accurate data entry, updates, and reporting.
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to meet business needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support project decision-making and performance tracking.
- Stay informed on the latest project management technology trends, updates, and industry best practices.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve system capabilities, usage, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead system adoption initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in project management practices.
What We Expect from You
- Strong system administration skills, including configuration, customization, and maintenance of project management platforms (e.g., Planview AdaptiveWork, Clarizen, MS Project, Smartsheet, Wrike).
- Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models) and understanding their implementation within the system.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities, focusing on root cause analysis.
- Ability to prioritize and manage product backlogs and enhancement requests effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Expertise in creating and delivering training programs and user support for system adoption.
- Strong proficiency in data management, reporting, and developing dashboards to support project decision-making.
- Experience collaborating on system integrations (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS), ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance.
- High attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with reporting tools, data visualization, and the ability to derive actionable insights from system data.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and processes, emphasizing best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in system administration, preferably in a project management platform.
- Knowledge and understanding of project management tools and platforms, including system customization and integrations.
- Experience providing user support, training, and creating system documentation.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management and/or platform certifications (e.g., Planview, PMI-SP, PMP, CAPM).
- Experience with system integrations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).
- Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or other data integration technologies.
- Understanding of change management and system implementation processes.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $102,900 - $139,200
