Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of technical projects for the Data Centers, Automation, and Networking team. This could include coordinating procurement hardware assets, organizing logistics of delivery, and international shipping, and coordinating with our automation, networking, and Data Center Operations team to drive the delivery of devices. This team also takes on any project that impacts the Data Center or any GoDaddy commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

What you’ll get to do…

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the development of project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and requirements.
  • Manage project execution according to the plan, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful delivery.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address identified risks.
  • Proactively communicate risks to partners and take appropriate actions to minimize their impact.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with department heads to assign project team members and clarify roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback and support as needed to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the point of contact for project partners, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and risks.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring a clear understanding of objectives and expectations.
  • Manage partner expectations and address concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.

Your experiences should include…

  • Proven experience managing technical projects, preferably in data center operations or technical project management.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and encourage team members to achieve project goals.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
