UI/UX Designer
Gorilla Logic is looking for a UI/UX Designer. This is a unique and highly analytical and creative role, requiring strong UI/UX experience in leading and delivering all design aspects of a usable software product. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm, and determination.
Responsibilities
*Gather and evaluate user requirements, to create visual designs, prototypes, and build navigation components as well as reviewing current-state systems and applications*Develops high-level, detailed storyboards, sitemaps, mock-ups, user maps, and prototypes to effectively communicate and articulate complex ideas and reach a shared understanding*Create and scale design systems to make a clean and consistent experience using design best practices*Participate in agile ceremonies to collaborate, ship, and improve products, working alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle*Articulate design decisions to a variety of audiences, including tech leads, clients, and project owners*Collaborate with the Product Owner, create high-level requirements and make sure the implementation aligns with the vision
Requirements
*Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)*3+ years of UI/UX design experience*Provide an online portfolio of work to review with best-in-class work and inspiring projects that tackle interaction design problems*Knowledge of prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD*Figma experience; will train the right candidate*Strong client-facing communication skills, having the ability to articulate design decisions to a variety of audiences, including tech leads, company leaders, project owners*Good at articulating complex ideas, then document them (using appropriately chosen, deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, prototypes, sitemaps, user flow, personas, and scenarios) to drive decisions*Understanding of mobile-first and/or responsive design*Experience working directly with developers for implementation of designs*Experience with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Material Design
Bonus Skills
*Experience with Storyboard*Conduct usability testing to validate prototypes and interactions*Mobile design experience*Motion and animation design experience
