Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Virtualization Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Virtualization Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with our clients and internal teams to ensure that our virtualization environments meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability. Own the roadmap and strategy, engagement with vendors and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement virtualized infrastructure solutions based on client requirements and industry best practices.
- Configure and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, and Nutanix AHV .
- Monitor virtualized environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform capacity planning and resource optimization for virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot virtualization issues and implement solutions to resolve them promptly.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to integrate virtualization solutions with existing systems.
- Conduct performance tuning and system upgrades for virtualization platforms.
- Develop documentation and provide training to support teams and end-users as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in virtualization technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Virtualization Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and concepts.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, AHV required
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking, storage, and server infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Nutanix NCP ) are advantageous.
