Airalo is seeking a talented and highly motivated Social Media Manager, EU & CIS to join our Growth team and shape the strategy of our social media ecosystem in Europe. Working very closely with the rest of the EU & CIS team, as well as our Global UX Team, you'll be leading the European Social Media Specialists while maintaining a strong hands-on approach and being very comfortable rolling up your sleeves on a daily basis. You will be responsible for guiding the strategy and development of our entire social media ecosystem in your Region with the goal of raising brand awareness, driving user engagement and boosting conversions.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Own the development and oversight of a strategic, multi-channel global social media marketing plan that not only contributes to the overall growth of our business but also fosters love for our brand. Collaborate seamlessly with the Global teams to ensure alignment with overarching company goals while allowing flexibility for Regional nuances in strategy execution.
  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute an effective social media strategy tailored to the EU & CIS Region to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. This includes the development and management of our Regional social and editorial calendars.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor and actively engage with the Airalo community on social media platforms, respond to comments, questions, and feedback promptly, and build positive relationships with followers.
  • Content: Develop a wide range of content forms to best utilize the platforms and technology available to us, including videos, text or animation, live action, open mic, and other content forms that best help us cultivate community and affinity for Airalo.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Integrate and measure the value of social media programs with the Growth team, optimizing content types and channel strategies based on data, while analyzing performance and KPIs/metrics for the channel
  • Manage a team of Social Media Specialists all over Europe/CIS and hire new team members accordingly to the needs of the Region growth
  • Crisis Management: Handle potential social media crises effectively, maintain a positive brand image, and address customer concerns professionally. And ensure compliance with local laws (e.g., copyright and data protection)
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, including copyright and data protection, and build relationships with internal teams, agencies, and platforms for innovative campaigns.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging influencers, and new platforms to continuously adapt and enhance Airalo's influencer marketing strategies.

Must Haves:

  • Approx. 7-10 years of experience in social media and creative development, experience in the travel industry is preferred
  • Previous management and hiring experience, with a great leadership style and very people-oriented, who will be able to motivate a team of talented professionals
  • Deep understanding of European cultures, consumer behavior, and market trends
  • Professional level of English, impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive experience in brand management, content, influencers marketing and market insight with an in-depth understanding of the social and digital space
  • Excellent knowledge of Instagram/Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, Twitter, Telegram, Linkedin, Snapchat (and other eventual emerging social media) and abreast of social media best practices, and regional, and global trends
  • Owning a project that is not strictly part of your job description excites you and you take it as an opportunity to learn something new
  • Superior internal/external communication & cross-functional stakeholder management skills
  • Enjoying and excelling at handling multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix & complex environment
  • Good time management with an eye for perfection & a strong operational background

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on international brands
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams in an agile environment
  • Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies and services
  • Skilled in leveraging AI-driven social media analytics platforms like Hootsuite or Sprout Social for sentiment analysis, trend identification, and personalized content strategies based on predictive analytics.
