Job Description

About Kojo

It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.

Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.

We’re hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer, Vendor Integrations to join our high-impact crew. This role is a great fit for an experienced individual contributor who wants to build new product and help lead Kojo’s direction in frontend engineering.

About the role

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a critical aspect of our product from the ground up, helping guide future of the construction industry.

This role will include:

  • Scoping, designing, and implementing key aspects of the Vendor Portal at Kojo, a new product area that will revolutionize how suppliers interact with our customers by letting both parties collaborate on transactions, monitor real-time integration status, and more.

  • Collaborating with engineers, UX designers, and product managers.

  • Bringing your knowledge of frontend to create engineering best practices that make Kojo Engineering better as a whole.

  • Helping grow the foundations of Kojo’s engineering organization, from process, to hiring, to mentoring and culture.

  • Opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior engineers as part of your career path at Kojo.

About you

What you’ve accomplished:

  • Strong technical background, and proven track record of shipping quality software (7+ years professional experience preferred).

  • Experience working with TypeScript, ReactJS hooks, GraphQL, Next.js, and CSS (or a similar tech stack).

  • Write clean and performant code, love diving deep when necessary.

  • Team player who enjoys learning, teaching, and collaboration.

  • Bonus: Willing to write GraphQL endpoints and make some backend adjustments when needed.

This is an entirely remote, full-time position for candidates who currently reside in Canada or the US. Working hours are flexible across ET to PT. The salary for this position is $115,000-$180,000 USD, commensurate with experience and location.
