Job Description

  • Regular attendance and punctuality, hybrid internship working remotely and onsite from mid-May to mid-August.
  • Assist in the preparation of general ledger entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing and analyzing financial data.
  • Assist in the approval and verification of proper coding for employee and business expenses.
  • Assist with cash payment preparation and cash flow monitoring.
  • Assist in the monitoring and reconciliation of the company’s cash pooling accounts.
  • Assist in recording monthly sales activity for legal entities.
  • Assist in the monitoring and determination of proper accruals for tax and audit.
  • Assist with coordinating, updating, and maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules on the company’s accounting software.
  • Assist with recording and reconciling activity on leases / loans.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit work deliverables.
  • Assist with the loading of financial budgets to Great Plains.
  • Work within the company’s software programs that include Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Coupa, SAP Concur, Microsoft Office, and others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess :

  • Strong computer skills especially within Microsoft Office.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
  • Attention to detail in establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, demonstrated proficiency in work, good communication skills, pride in appearance and conduct.
  • Meticulous work habits, cooperative and pleasant with coworkers.
  • Strong communication skills.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • In-progress Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and / or Finance.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position is Full-Time, Temporary (mid-May through mid-August) Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with additional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Lancaster, PA or Des Moines, IA are encouraged to apply.
