Key Details:
- Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.
- Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.
- Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Internship Project Summary:
Project Title: Engage & Empower Workforce Plan
Objective: The intern will assist with workforce planning through collation and interpretation of data generated via array of sources: employee engagement surveys, hiring platform, personnel database, performance management database, etc. The intern will also assist with recommendations and action planning.
Describe the specific project(s) the intern will be working on. Include an overview of the project's objectives, its importance to the department, and how the intern’s work will contribute to the department’s goals.
Essential Functions:
- Data collection and analysis related to employee demographics, performance, attrition, survey results, career progression.
- Forecasting Workforce needs through historical data and predictive analytics.
- Identifying skill gaps and analyze current skill sets within the organization
- Survey Analyses related to employee engagement and experience
- Assist with developing strategic recommendations
Specific Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or related field
- Strong understanding of data analysis and statistical methods
- Proficiency in HR metrics
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with data management and visualization tools
- Strong critical thinking skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Ability to translate data-driven insights into practical HR recommendations
- Preferred Experience: Experience in event planning or hospitality.
