Position: Summer Internship Program - Global Casino Operations Marketing Intern
Location: Hybrid in Miami, Florida
Dates: May 12th – July 25th, 2025
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage provided

Key Details:

  • Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.
  • Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.
  • Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Department Summary:

Global Casino Operations is a corporate entity of Carnival Corporation & plc. We manage operations, staffing, marketing, and guest experience in the casinos across all nine brands. The primary function of GCO is to operate the casinos across all our brands, which results in one of the greatest drivers of on-board revenue within Carnival Corp & plc. We are the largest gaming organization in the world focused exclusively on the cruise market, and our mission is to provide the best gaming entertainment experience possible to our guests.

Global Casino Marketing’s objective is to acquire new casino guests to our cruise brands, create loyalty with our existing guests, and create unique gaming experiences onboard. As such, GCM is responsible for the guest experience pre-, during, and post-cruise.

The nine brands we work with collectively serve over 10 million guests a year. Combined, these lines operate more than 90 cruise ships that sail to the most exciting destinations around the world. Internship Project Summary:

Project Title: Marketing Event Planning and Communication Development

The intern will assist in the planning and coordination of events as well as the communication components associated with these events. In addition, the intern will support the development of training materials/procedures for our onboard teams inclusive of the development of instructional videos.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the development of timelines and budgets associated with events and various projects.
  • Assist in the development of invitations and surveys.
  • Coordinate with other departments within GCO to support development of procedures.
  • Identify vendors to support the building of content.
  • Support on-site event execution and post-event evaluations.
  • Illicit feedback for areas of improvement from guests and team members.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    • Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)

  • Experience:
    • Experience in event planning or hospitality
