NexusTek is a U.S based, managed IT service provider to small and medium sized organizations. We excel in tackling the complexities of IT, such as cloud services, cyber-security, document management, data back-up and protection, and more.  

Our mission is to take away technology headaches allowing our clients to focus on their core business.  

NexusTek’s 300 employees span 35+ states to service our growing client base. We have physical offices in Denver, Irvine, and Boston. 

Working hours 

Our Systems Engineers typically work Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time unless specified. On occasion they may be asked to work outside of business hours.  

They also participate in a rotating on-call schedule (afterhours and weekends).

All while engaging our clients in the process to understand their technology needs and enhance their technology efficiencies.  

Who you are 

Proactive and independent technical expert with a focus on our Microsoft practice. You perform a variety of system design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support responsibilities, requiring a thorough working knowledge of Systems and Microsoft technologies. You are a skilled communicator on all levels and dedicated to providing top-notch customer service. Your meticulous attention to detail is shown through your timekeeping, documentation, and execution of the technical work. 

You know how to:  

  • Provide top tier consultative client support while working closely with the project engineering and management team.
  • Accountable for accurate and daily time entry for billable/utilization hours.
  • Perform Microsoft Cloud migrations.
  • Assist with the resolution of service desk tickets as needed.
  • Respond and perform timely and accurate scheduled maintenance and service tasks as defined for individual clients.    
  • Ability to resolve technical issues including, but not limited to:
    • Microsoft Operations Systems
    • Microsoft Server 2012 – present
    • Workstation/server hardware
    • Peripheral devices including printers and scanners
    • Routers, switches, and firewalls
    • Cloud and virtualization-based technologies
    • Client/Server applications

   

Strong working knowledge in the following technologies:  

  • Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure Active Directory, Intune/Endpoint Manager)
  • Azure IaaS and Azure Virtual Desktop
  • E-mail Spam Security and Filtering Solutions
  • Modern File projects and migrations
  • Microsoft Windows 2012 – present
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010 – present
  • Networking technologies basic switching, firewall and wireless configuration and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with MSP application like ConnectWise, IT Glue, Nable is desirable 

The following certifications are desirable:  

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Pay and Benefits 

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely.

Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually paid hourly, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.  Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
