Job Description

Network Optix (Nx) is a powerhouse in video software development, driven by a mission to empower the creation of intelligent video-based solutions and products capable of converting video into actionable data. Over a decade in the making, the Network Optix Enterprise Video Platform helps innovative organizations rapidly and affordably build world-class, custom-tailored, enterprise-scale video products and solutions.

We have locations in Walnut Creek, CA, Burbank, CA, and Oregon in the USA, and distributed teams around the globe (Taiwan, Australia, France, Spain, and Serbia to name a few). Nx is profitable and actively invests in expanding into new domains. We are growing our teams cross-functionally and across the globe.

We are on the lookout for an experienced Technical Content Creator to craft and disseminate various types of content for our company’s digital platforms, including articles, ebooks, and release notes. This role involves generating engaging, user-friendly technical copy to promote our products, creating insightful blog posts on industry-related topics, and amplifying our content across social media channels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. Also important in this role are an ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it. Please include samples of your work (portfolio or links to published articles) with your application. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance our visibility and engage our target audience with both informative and appealing content about our company and offerings.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Research, outline, write, and edit content in collaboration with our content manager.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce and refresh documentation with each product release.
  • Work alongside marketing colleagues to generate and disseminate promotional materials across multiple formats, including print, web, video, and audio.
  • Craft authoritative knowledge leadership articles addressing our target markets’ interests.
  • Edit and unify the voice of content from engineering/support teams for public sharing.
  • Conduct interviews with industry professionals, customers, and users, incorporating their insights into blog content.
  • Align with digital marketing efforts to enhance SEO through strategic content and keyword optimization.
  • Utilize social networks for content promotion, engaging with audience interactions.
  • Suggest new content ideas based on customer feedback and research to address audience needs.
  • Coordinate with marketing and creative teams for compelling visuals/videos.
  • Regularly update digital properties to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and engaging.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends to inform content creation and support Sales/Marketing/Development teams.
  • Collaborate on content generation (e.g., blog posts, infographics, webinars) aligned with Nx’s strategy.
  • Enhance existing content for improved lead generation flow.
  • Actively contribute to related marketing initiatives as needed.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of content creation experience, preferably in tech/B2B sectors.
  • Excellent organizational and English communication skills.
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Will be a plus:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, or relevant technical field.
  • Marketing background, ideally in-house experience.
  • Experience in digital publishing and driving website traffic.
  • Knowledge of IP video and related technologies (networking, computing, storage, software development languages).
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technology industry's dynamics.
  • Ability to 'manage up' and autonomously drive projects.

What we offer:

  • Competitive Compensation
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible working hours
  • Onsite work in our brand-new comfortable office (if appropriate)
  • Employer-sponsored health coverage
  • Working with top industry experts in our international team

The role is primarily designed as hybrid, with office locations in Portland, OR, Walnut Creek, CA, and Burbank, CA. Ideally, the position includes some in-office time. Candidates interested in a fully remote option will also be considered.

Base pay range$45,000—$66,000 USD
