Job Description

We are currently seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to work with a Fortune 500 technology company on their compliance team focusing on export and sanctions matters in the EMEA region. This is a fully remote role, requiring full-time hours for 12+ months.

Responsibilities:

  • Support a busy compliance team for a global technology company in handling day-to-day trade compliance issues, with a strong emphasis on export controls and sanctions.
  • Guide internal business teams on trade compliance queries, third party screening, trade sanctions and export control processes and training for EMEA region.
  • Serve as a reliable and trusted advisor for matters related to import, export, and customs controls, encryption notifications and registration issues, export licensing activities, and provide support for the broader compliance and ethics program.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of trade compliance experience with a strong knowledge of the impact of the Ukraine/Russian war on sanctions.
  • Deep understanding of import and export controls and ability to advise business teams and negotiate with business partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on highly technical issues with ease.
  • Experience managing, tracking, reviewing and revising applicable trade and sanctions related forms, licenses, registrations and contracts.
